As of now, the new version v0.3.75 of DID Spaces has been released. This update includes added read and write component space functionality, as well as some other improvements and fixes.

New feature#

  • Support read-write component space

In this version, we have added support for read and write operations on component spaces. This means that after users complete authorization, applications can read and write components in the DID Spaces, greatly expanding developers' capabilities after integrating DID Spaces into their applications.

In order to demonstrate this ability, we have prepared a Todo List sample project. You can visit the following link to learn more:

You can also use this ability:

  • Store user's billing information.
  • Store user posts (and import them into any application instance)
  • Store user activity records.
  • Store user's AI prompts.
  • Storing any valuable data generated by users...

If you want to know more about the implementation details, you can also refer to:

Improve#

  • Display QR code

Repair#

  • Prohibit DID Spaces from connecting to the site itself

We gathered User feedback information and discovered that connecting from DID Spaces to the site itself, backing up data to the site itself, and then restoring DID Spaces backups to other Blocklet Servers have led to many unexpected problems. Considering that backing up oneself is uncommon and not the best backup practice, we have decided to prohibit DID Spaces from connecting to the site itself and prohibit DID Spaces from backing up data to the site itself.
