Through the relentless efforts of engineers, DID Spaces officially released a new version v0.4.26. The main features of this update include subscription fully adopting pay-as-you-go, officially supporting paid upgrades for Default Space, and new user Default Space creation under a unified login account. There are also some improvements in user experience.

New feature#

  • Subscribe to comprehensive pay-as-you-go usage.

The subscribed DID Space is fully implemented with pay-as-you-go (charged by units, for more payment details, please be sure to check our Pricing policy), and will migrate the billing method of all users' subscriptions to pay-as-you-go.

  • Formal support for paid upgrade Default Space

Under the pay-as-you-go rules, the system will provide 10 units for free for each Default Space, even if you upgrade the plan, they will not disappear. Users can upgrade Default Space by paying to exceed the unit limit and expand the capabilities of Default Space. This also means that using Default Space is more cost-effective than directly purchasing DID Space (we recommend users to only use Default Space). There are two ways to upgrade Default Space for a fee, you can choose to upgrade according to your own usage situation:

    • Upgrade Default Space on the webpage.
操作步骤: 进入到 Default Space 的首页 -> 点击右上角的图标 -> 点击 Pay to upgrade,支付成功后升级 Default Space 就会自动升级了。

    • Upgrade Default Space on the DID Wallet (please note the official release of the DID Wallet client version).

Operation steps: Enter the DID Wallet homepage -> Click on the upper right corner menu -> Click on DID Spaces -> Enter the exclusive page of DID Spaces -> Click Upgrade DID Spaces -> Click Upgrade, complete the upgrade after successful payment.

  • The Default Space for new users is created under a unified login account (please note the official release of the DID Wallet client).

Before when users logged into Prod DID Spaces, they always had to switch the site to Prod DID Spaces in order to view the Default Space. Now, Default Space created by new users will be created under a unified login account, so there is no need to switch sites when viewing, making the experience smoother. The Default Space of existing users will also be automatically migrated after entering the DID Wallet mobile app (only the data of DID Wallet itself, data from other apps will not be deleted and can still be read).

improvement#

  • Personal DID Spaces no longer rely on Pages kit

Recently, we received User Feedback: Installing Personal DID Spaces without selecting the installation of related components, when users access the application homepage, an error will occur. This is because Pages Kit is not installed or mounted to the / mount point, so this error appears. Personal DID Spaces is not mandatory to bind pages kit, so we decided to remove the Pages Kit dependency from Personal DID Spaces. However, users can still combine blocklets according to their own needs.

  • Prefer to use the jump method for login, prohibit automatic pop-up windows when logging in.

Due to browser restrictions on pop-ups, the DID Wallet login pop-up on the webpage cannot automatically appear, which may cause users to not see the login pop-up after clicking the login button. Therefore, the login method for the DID Spaces site has been changed to redirect login, rather than automatically popping up the login pop-up.

  • Support displaying the DID Wallet icon by default.

After the DID Wallet is connected to the DID Space, the icon of the DID Wallet can be displayed on the DID Space.
