We're reaching out today to shed light on a recent incident that momentarily impacted the functionality of several websites hosted on ArcBlock Launcher. We believe in transparency and continuous communication with our users, and we want to assure you that we're fully committed to providing a seamless, robust service to the ArcBlock community.
The incident occurred at approximately 00:00 on July 31, 2024. One of the Blocklet Server instances managed by ArcBlock Launcher encountered an unexpected issue due to exceeding disk capacity. This issue caused temporary disruption to particular functions on various sites, including our official site www.aigne.io and several user sites, such as braintitan.did.life.
Further compounding the issue, we simultaneously experienced an anomaly within our SMS alert system, resulting in incident notifications failing to deliver as required. Our operations engineering team noticed these service irregularities approximately an hour later and took immediate action to resolve them. Gradually, all impacted services went up and running normally.
We've learned a lot from this incident. We've carried out a thorough investigation into what went wrong, and we're taking steps to ensure it doesn't happen in the future. This involves a comprehensive review and enhancement of our operational procedures and service dependencies to ensure optimal reliability and stability for all our users.
