Through the tireless efforts of engineers, DID Spaces officially released a new version v0.5.0. The main features of this update include subscription fully adopting pay-as-you-go, officially supporting paid upgrades for Default Space, and creating Default Space for new users under a unified login account. There are also some user experience improvements.

New Features#

  • Subscribe to the comprehensive use of pay-as-you-go.

Users subscribing to DID Space are no longer charged at a fixed price, but based on the actual quantity you use each day (measured in units). If you need to understand the detailed rules for pay-as-you-go pricing, you can refer to our Pricing policy.

The previously subscribed packages will be migrated to a pay-as-you-go billing method. After migration, the user's usage costs will be further reduced, with the specific costs incurred based on the subscription bill. There will be no loss during the migration process, and any remaining balance in the old package that has not been used up by the user will be stored in the DID Spaces account, with subsequent bills prioritizing the use of this balance for payment.

  • Formal support for paid upgrades to Default Space

Each Default Space will contain 10 free units, even if upgrading the package will not disappear. By paying to upgrade the Default Space, users can exceed the unit limit of the Default Space. Using Default Space in this way is more cost-effective than directly purchasing DID Space. There are two ways to pay to upgrade Default Space. You can choose to upgrade according to your own usage.

    • Upgrade Default Space on the website
Operation steps: Enter the homepage of Default Space -> click on the icon in the upper right corner -> click "Pay to upgrade", after successful payment, Default Space will be automatically upgraded.

    • Upgrade Default Space on DID Wallet (please note the official release of the DID Wallet client, with Android version 5.4.10, and iOS version 5.4.13, please refer to the actual released versions)

Steps: Enter the DID Wallet homepage -> Click on the top right corner menu -> Click on DID Spaces -> Enter the exclusive page of DID Spaces -> Click on Upgrade DID Spaces -> Click on Upgrade, complete the payment to finish the upgrade.

  • The Default Space for new users is created under a unified login account (please note the official release of the DID Wallet client, with Android version 5.4.10 and iOS version 5.4.13, please refer to the actual released version)

New users' Default Space will be created under a unified login account! This way, new users can view their Default Space without switching sites. After entering the DID Wallet mobile end, old users will also automatically migrate data to the Default Space under the unified login account (only migrate data of DID Wallet itself, other data is not affected).

If you don't have a default space yet, you can get it for free by answering questions on the DID Wallet client's homepage.

Improvements#

We have recently received User feedback: When installing Personal DID Spaces without selecting Pages Kit, users will encounter errors when accessing the application's homepage. Therefore, we have decided to unbind Personal DID Spaces from Pages Kit to fix this issue, as they are not strongly correlated.

  • Use jump login first, automatic pop-up window is prohibited when logged in.

The login method of the DID Spaces website has been updated to redirect login, no longer automatically pop up the login window. This change solves the problem of the login popup failing to appear in certain situations.

  • Support displaying the icon of DID Wallet by default.

After the DID Wallet is connected to the DID Space, the icon of the DID Wallet can be displayed correctly on the DID Space.
